a balancing rock

The photograph shows a clear-cut area south of Norrtälje. In the middle of the clear-cut area stands a high tree stump, a tree cut three meters up on which a large boulder is balanced. Rumor has it that the rock is a moose trap. In spring when it is time for the moose to drop their horns, the moose will supposedly rub them against the trunk and get hit by the falling rock.
